How To Start Doing What You Love

What do you day dream about doing? Maybe you really want to learn a new skill. Maybe you want to revive an old one. Whatever it is, if you’re life is anything like mine — there’s no time left to make our dreams reality. I’ve often let myself get so busy that there wasn’t even time to dream, much less work towards it. But that has changed!

Since we’ll never find time to do what we love, we have to make time. The easiest way to do that is to get up earlier. Even 15 minutes adds up quickly. If you commit to this tiny goal every day for one year, you will have spent over 90 hours developing your talents and abilities!

I started getting up an hour earlier every day just to work on hand-lettering and writing. Sometimes, I’m practicing and sometimes I’m just watching and learning from someone else. It all counts!

I know you might cringe at first picturing yourself dragging out of bed even earlier, but remember this is solely time to do something that excites you. It’s an alarm clock like no other. You don’t dare hit snooze on your day dream!

“You are never too old to set another goal, or to dream a new dream.”
